YOUR WEDDING PLANNER
12 - 18 Months Out:
Decide on date for the Wedding.
Book the Church or Register-office.
Book the Hotel for your Wedding Banquet and pay a deposit to secure the date.
Choose your best man, ushers, bridesmaids, flower girls and page boys.
Organise your wedding dress.
Book your honeymoon early, should you be planning to travel in peak season.
6 - 9 Months Out:
Book your wedding cars, photographer/video and evening entertainment.
Make a list of guests to be invited to the Wedding Banquet.
Order invitation cards.
Decide on bridesmaids' dresses and menswear for the grooms men.
Order your wedding cake.
Block book accommodation for your family/guests.
Book your pre-marriage course and apply to register of marriages (should be done 3 months prior).
Give revised guest numbers for full Wedding Reception along with expected number of evening guests.
3 - 4 Months Out:
Decide on ceremony, if necessary organise letters of release should you wish to be married in another church.
Organise flowers for Church/Register Office (flowers can be co-ordinated with the bridesmaids dresses and wedding cake).
Choose and order your wedding rings.
Finalise your honeymoon plans, if necessary arrange for any visas or vaccinations.
Plan your going away outfit'. Pay further depsoit to hotel
Compile a list of preferred wedding presents, which can be organised through a major department store or circulated amongst family and friends.
2 Months Out:
Send out wedding invitations along with details of accommodation where necessary. Make a note of the acceptances and regrets.
Choose presents for bridesmaids, best man and anyone else you would like to make a special thank you to.
Confirm menu details with the hotel and pay further monies.
Book bar extension with hotel if required.
1 Month Out:
Chase up late invitation replies and finalise guest list.
Work out your table plan.
Meet with the Wedding Co-ordinator at the hotel and finalise dinner menu, table plan, drinks reception, appetisers, timings, wines, toast, evening refreshments, bar extension.

Finalise your transport arrangements.
Visit your hairdresser, discuss your hair style for the day, (don't forget to bring your hair-décor), book your appointment and your bridesmaids appointments for the morning of the wedding.
1 - 2 Weeks Out:
Have your rehearsal for the ceremony.
Arrange your foreign exchange and collection of your tickets for the honeymoon.
Pack your clothes for your honeymoon and for the wedding night.
Make arrangements for the collection of the menswear.
Wear-in your wedding shoes at home.
5 days brfore the wedding confirm numbers of guests to the hotel and pay balance of monies.
The Day before the Wedding:
Bring cake and luggage to the hotel.
Meet with your Wedding Co-ordinator should there be any last minute amendments.
Day of the Wedding:
Try to have a lie-in.
Have hair and make-up done.
Try and have a small snack before you go.
Relax and enjoy the day, the Summerhill House Hotel will do the rest.
Ask family or friends to ensure the following arrangements are made after the wedding:
Wedding dress and groomswear is taken home.
All hired items - suits/hats are returned.
Wedding cake and presents are brought home.
